USA The land of Photo Opportunities

After spending so much time travelling underground I really wanted to get a view of the districts and see how they are laid out. OK! i wanted to go to the top of Rockefeller and see this amazing urban sprawl. Looking at down at Manhattan it is wonderfully textural with it’s dense overlapping of brick patterns. You see so many reference photos but you can’t substitute it any other way than seeing it with your real eyes!
The Rockefeller plaza and everything around it is a buzzing tourist experience. One thing that carry’s you away is the over the top art deco architectural structure, it is so huge like everything here, you just have to love it. In fact it was Rockefeller’s wife that suggested interpreting Art into this fantastic building experience. That and the famous photos of the workmen eating sandwiches on the steel beams is why it has become one of the most iconic buildings of modern history.
The photos are a random shots the one of me took flipping ages to get right – spot the lone traveller!

  1. Hi Lucy,

It makes you real how small we really are – and insignificant!
You have captured the essence brilliantly – keep up the good work
